What is the history of ThinkSystem Servers?
ThinkSystem Servers have a rich history that began with IBM's introduction of the PS/2 Server in 1992. This marked a significant step in supporting enterprise customers, focusing on reliability, ease of maintenance, and corporate support. Over the years, the PS/2 evolved into various server lines, including PC Server, Netfinity, and xSeries, before becoming System x. In 2014, Lenovo acquired the System x line and rebranded it to Lenovo System x. In 2016, Lenovo launched ThinkSystem servers, continuing the legacy of innovation and customer-centric design.
